Portrait-Girls!

After our fun shoot with Dan, Jerry’s nieces were so kind as to come in and let us photograph them! They were such great sports and beautiful to boot! They had such fun personalities and were so patient and willing to try new and crazy things.

Doughnuts and Starbucks coffee were our treat for the day thanks to our awesome model Dan. We had a great time running around photographing and goofing off shooting pictures of Dan and he did a great job!

Portrait #6-High Key, Various Lighting

Wednesday my (amazing, wonderful and most favorite) brother was so great as to come all the way out to UCM with me to be our Portrait model for the day. He did amazing, enough said. Not to mention the rest of us enjoyed a break from posing! We ran all around the studio, campus and even some of Warrensburg. We focused on High Key  lighting first then we explored a few other “manly” and normal lighting techniques. Great shoot.

Portrait #4-Alien Bee’s

Day 4 in our Portrait class we took quite a spin with the Alien Bee kit and a mix of soft boxes, grid spots and ambient light. I think as it was a Monday we were all tired and feeling off but we made it through and got some great images!

Portrait #3-One Light

Day 3! Today we worked in the studio on learning to use the one light technique. I really loved the beauty light and the hollywood light. I love the dramatic effect. It’s wonderful having such lovely models too.
